6” X 5” -black stretchy fabric. You can use knit but it needs to be very lightweight. I used a stretchy lingerie fabric.
10” X 10” square of fabric for the circle skirt.
4” X 6” of the same fabric for the blouse
36” -of ¼” black lace (or appropriate for your design)
20” –of 3” black lace for inside slip (if desired)
12” of black fairy lace if desired.
12” -7 mm silk ribbon for waist tie.
The jewels are made of 3” of gold or silver chain with three flat back stones.
Though not readily seen, I have used fine black glitter to highlight some of the floral designs in the print. Stones, glitter, sequins are all wonderful accents to dress up the pattern on the skirt.
This is one period where the designs are large scale and used well in a miniature.
