The Sailor Look-- some things never go out of style. This pattern although shown off the doll, will in fact fit a lady doll, so do not shy away from using it only for a static display.

The pattern and style of dress date to the 1920’s and you can tell by looking it seems quite “modern” and might actually work today.

 

4 ½” X 12” of lightweight cotton or handkerchief linen (Mine was red)
About 4” X 6” piece of china silk for skirt lining (The jacket is not lined)
About 45” of mini braid to match or contrast
1 yard of hat braid
7” of ¼” or smaller of decorative braid for hat edge
¾” x 2” piece of leather, suede or ultrasuede
1” x 1/8” contrast leather, suede or ultrasuede
1 iron on dot (Or more if you want them on the skirt)
