Supplies:

Spider Hat

2” of thin black chenille stem for hat base
about 1” of lace round or square to cover wire for hat base
26, 28 or 30 # florists wire, at least 10”
Black Sharpie™ (to color wire for spider legs)
6” of black Chenille yarn
[or .5cm (3/8”) black shank bead and .5cm black pom-pom]
or other method you devise for the spider

Corset hat

index card (no lines)
4” by 6” of fabric of your choice
(sample is made of metallic brocade try the gold and cream brocade under silk fabric)
something for eyelets (example uses sequins)
(1/16th jump rings, tiny sequins, tiny beads, or hole punch gold paper and use a pin to poke holes in the center)
Suede, faux suede or fine leather, or leather like product, paper for the loops. (Sample uses gold leather and leaf punch)
7mm ribbon, or two pieces of 4mm, or braid some 2 mm, or other product that would make a good “belt” hat band! (example is two pieces of 4mm)
Silk thread or cotton perle or other fiber to lace up the corset
Mini braid or fairy lace, fancy fiber or sewing and thread to create the corset seams. (sample is mini braid)

Feather eyes hat

3” by 6” fabric of your choice ( try the solid check silk taffeta under silk fabrics )
12” of 4mm ribbon
feathers (your choice but two that are semi stiff)
wiggle eyes (2mm)
