Supplies 4” x 12” of pre-crinkled fabric or enough to cut both the front and back on the fold OR very simple instructions for making your own crinkled fabric are included on the inside back cover
OR
use silk or cotton crepe
(it must be a tight crepe for the hem to spread in the back)
8” by 8” fashion fabric for coat
plus equal amount for lining,
OR
6” c or larger circle crocheted doily to use for coat. Be sure you have enough for sleeve Also you could use a vintage or antique piece of lace for the coat.
seed beads for seams and sleeve and neck openings
1/2” by 9” piece of miniature bear fur
Chenille thread or floss to make tassels
If you are dressing a doll, please know you need a full arm and torso for this project for best results. I have included a long sleeve if you require one.
Note: If you are less experienced dressing a miniature doll, use fabrics that are a little more dense. Batistes and cottons will give you great success. The sample was silk net and silk chiffon. Too flimsy for me for sure. Lots of draping to get the look and hard to hold in place. Just a word of caution.
